Global Footwear company chooses Authentico’s hybrid solution to protect customer data

The Dutch footwear company Unlimited Footwear Group, with brands such as Bullboxer, Rehab and Nubikk, is now choosing the Gothenburg-based IT security company Authentico as a partner to protect its customers’ data integrity. The new hybrid solution, partly cloud-service, partly hardware, will protect databases and encrypt login information for the Footwear company’s more than fifteen thousand customers  worldwide.

This is the first time a company outside Sweden has bought Authentico’ s new cloud service. The deal is seen as an important milestone as it shows the market the benefits of the new hybrid solution, which has been developed to meet the need for complete data protection for both hardware and software.

“Unlimited Footwear Group consists of three different business areas, each of which has its own database, so in fact these are three different customer projects in one and the same store. Our collaboration will give rings on the water both in and outside Europe”, says Oscar Blenner, sales manager at Authentico.

Unlimited Footwear Group, with a turnover of approximately MEUR 140 per year, is active in more than fifty countries. Unlimited Footwear Group (UFG) was established in 1983 and is a product oriented design powerhouse that operates in the fast fashion footwear market. UFG designs, sources, markets and distributes footwear for men, women and kids, through their own brands as Bullboxer, Nubikk, Rehab, Braend and  licensed brands,  among others,  Björn Borg, G -Star Raw and Levi’s kids.

“They chose Authentico and our hybrid solution to be able to offer their customers the best possible protection of password information and to protect their own databases against data intrusion. We will be an important piece of the puzzle in protection against hackers.”

Authentico’s hybrid solution combines the flexibility of the cloud with the stability and security of fixed IT infrastructure.

“Thanks to the cloud part of our hybrid product, the solution becomes scalable and lead times are reduced, as customers are not dependent on their own IT infrastructure. In addition, it allows us to offer a wider range of services, such as data monitoring, analysis and remote measures.”

The collaboration will begin in the autumn of 2021.
